Is it possible that you might have installed the wrong version for your device?  The install files are labeled according to the operating system the device is using.  For instance, if you have WM6 on your device, you should use SmartMileage_WM6_v1.04.exe on the desktop to install the application.  If this is not the issue, let me know what you were doing (which field you were on, etc.) when the error occurred.
